I provide support to our students and staff at JEL as the Special Services Coordinator. I earned my Exceptional Learners Certification from Indiana Wesleyan University and my BS in Family & Consumer Sciences and Housing & Environmental Design from Olivet Nazarene University. When working with students I love to see them develop confidence in their abilities and apply their knowledge to real situations. Outside of school, I enjoy watching my 2 year old son explore the world around him and also love spending time with my husband, our dog, and our 7 chickens.
I work with students and staff at JEL in the Learning Center as an Instructional Assistant for Special Needs Students. I am a retired Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. I also worked as the Assistant Director at Kindercare Learning Center before coming to JEL. I earned a BS Degree in Community Development and Health Sciences from Central Michigan University. I also have an Associate of Arts Degree from Moorpark College and an ECE certificate in Early Childhood Education. I have 3 children, grand and great-grandchildren. I love to shop, travel, and to spend time with my family.
I'm honored to provide support and learning assistant to individuals and groups of students as designed and prescribed by the certified instructors at JEL. Having grown up on a farm, my daddy had several sayings, my favorite by Dr. Marlo Archer (Psychological Service for children, teens and families). Urban Folklore that says, "Life's lessons will be repeated until they are learned." I earned a Operators & Teachers License in Cosmetology from Erie County Technical School & attended Duff's Business School of PGH for Medical Admin. I hold several Insurances Licenses and have owned, managed and operated my own & other businesses. Prior to coming to work for JEL, for a couple of years I was a Social Host for a major hotel chain & was a Domestic Goddess for 20 plus yrs. Outside of JEL I enjoy traveling with my husband of 29 yrs , spending time with our 2 adult sons, our dog and our friends.
