Successful completion of Introduction to Pharmacology will provide students the necessary tools to pursue a career in pharmacy tech or post-secondary education in pharmacy. Principles of pharmacology and therapeutic uses of drugs will be introduced. Basic drug dosage calculation, drug classification terminology and examples of drugs from various classifications are covered. Emphasis is placed on the action and therapeutic use of various drug classifications.
